Übergewichte Patienten haben nach operativen Eingriffen eine höhere Letalität und ein höheres Risiko für Komplikationen. Das Immunsystem reagiert auf den operativen Stress proinflammatorisch mit einer sich anschließenden Immunsuppression. Eine postoperative Immunsuppression kann durch eine verminderte Expression der Human Leukocyte Antigen des Gen-Locus DR (HLA-DR) auf Monozyten verifiziert werden. Daher war es primäres Ziel dieser Studie, den Einfluss von BMI auf die HLA-DR Expression in den ersten fünf postoperativen Tagen zu untersuchen.
Obese patients have a higher risk for postoperative infections and a higher mortality. The immune system reacts to operative stress with hyperinflammation in combination with immunosuppression. Postoperative immunosuppression can be verified by a reduced Human Leukocyte Antigen of the locus DR (HLA-DR) expression on monocytes. Therefor was the primary objective of this study to investigate the influence of BMI on the expression of HLA-DR on monocytes in the first five postoperative days.
