Hohe Brustdichte als Herausforderung in der Mammadiagnostik: Volumetrische Brustdichteanalyse und Entwicklung neuer Verfahren zur Verbesserung der Diagnostik

Abstract

Die Arbeit umfasst eine Zusammenfassung und Literaturanalyse der Bedeutung der Brustdichte in der Mammadiagnostik und der unterschiedlichen Methoden zur Quantifizierung der Brustdichte und –zusammensetzung. Es werden eigene Arbeiten zu folgenden Themen präsentiert: Analysen der Reproduzierbarkeit der volumetrischen Brustkompositionsanalyse, Quantifizierung alterungsbedingter und hormoninduzierter Veränderungen der Brustkomposition, Einfluss der Brustkomposition auf die Rate falsch-positiver CAD-Befunde, Entwicklungen neuer Untersuchungstechniken wie kontrastmittelgestützte spektrale Tomosynthese, Nahinfrarotbildgebung mit Indocyaningrün und Tomosynthese- Elastographie.

This work contains an analysis and literature review of the significance of breast density in breast imaging and the various methods to quantify breast density and composition. A number of own works are presented on the following topics: Analyses of the reproducibility of volumetric breast composition analysis, quantification of age- and hormone-related changes in breast composition, Influence on breast composition on the rate of false-positive CAD-marks, development of new imaging techniques such as contrast-enhanced spectral tomosynthesis, near-infrared imaging with indocyanine green and tomosynthesis elastography.
