dc.description.abstract
Biocompatible thermoresponsive polymer coatings with tuneable properties can be used in various applications, such as the fabrication of cell sheets for tissue engineering purposes. The rolling of endothelial cell sheets into artificial vessels combined with the generation of a microvascular network inside a hydrogel is a step towards the in vitro engineering of a vascular bed and the vascularisation of tissue models.
