Abstract:
The Noctis Labyrinthus region (Latin for “labyrinth of night”) is located between the western edge of Valles Marineris and the Tharsis upland. It has a length of 1,190 km and is characterized by a system of deep and steep-walled valleys formed by faulting. Many of the valleys show the classical appearance of so-called graben. We feature an image mosaic which consists of 8 high-definition images from the HRSC camera with a resolution of 12.5 m per pixel. We also provide a Digital Terrain Model of the area in 100 m per pixel, which has been constructed from the same HRSC orbits.
