dc.description.abstract
This thesis highlights the use of synthetic tailor-made oligo- and polysaccharides to study carbohydrate materials at different levels: chemical structure, conformation, aggregation tendency, and properties. The ultimate goal of this work is to understand the fundamental principles that guide carbohydrate interactions and provide important information for the rational design and application of carbohydrate materials.
