dc.description.abstract
This work tries to present the state of the art regulation regarding collective redress and consumers protection from a comparative view between Germany and Spain, within the European Union frame. It will include such procedures available from the General Civil Procedure perspective as well as other sectorial fields affecting consumers protections such as competition Law. This work will gather the dialectic between the defense of collective and individual goods as well as exploring the evolution of the civil Law in this matter. It will also include some reflexions and critics to the current consideration of consumers and competition protection under neoclassical economic models and will mention other economic schools and its proposals for a more comprehensive protection of the figure of consumers in a free market society.
