Primo von ExLibris wird als Discovery-System von vielen Bibliotheken im DACH-Raum genutzt. Auch die Universitätsbibliothek der Freien Universität Berlin (FUUB) hat es im Jahr 2010 eingeführt. Seitdem hat sich Primo stark verändert, denn ExLibris passt das Produkt kontinuierlich an. Allerdings sind die Funktionen oftmals besonders für die Anforderungen des anglo-amerikanischen Raums optimiert und wurden zuletzt 2011 direkt mit Nutzenden der FUUB getestet. Dies war Anlass für eine Praxis-Kooperation mit der Fachhochschule Potsdam (FHP). Die 18 Studierenden des Bachelor-Moduls „Informationsverhalten & Wissenschaftssoziologie“ im Studiengang "Bibliothekswissenschaft" haben im SoSe 2022 Primo-Nutzende beobachtet und befragt.
Primo by ExLibris is used as a discovery system by many libraries in the DACH region. The University Library of Freie Universität Berlin (FUUB) also introduced it in 2010. Primo has changed a lot since then, as ExLibris is continuously adapting the product. However, the functions are often particularly optimized for the requirements of the Anglo-American region and were last tested directly with FUUB users in 2011. This was the reason for a practical cooperation with the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences (FHP). The 18 students of the Bachelor's module "Information Behavior & Sociology of Science" in the "Library Science" course observed and interviewed Primo users in the summer semester of 2022.
