Abstract:
Publication of an early Roman offering table for the woman Tasouchion. The table probably came from the Fayum and was inscribed with a rare bilingual Hieroglyphic-Greek inscription. The Hieroglyphic text contains a ritual, while the Greek text offers a Greek version of the wellknown and wide-spread Latin epitaph sit tibi terra levis. Both texts are analyzed in the context of ancient funerary practices.
