dc.description.abstract
(Science Graphic Novel, no abstract available)
The content of this science graphic novel is largely based on University course lectures and research on Earth history, reef evolution, and the Anthropocene concept by Reinhold Leinfelder at Freie Universität Berlin, as well as on his research within the Anthropocene Working Group. It particulary deals with the importance of a better understanding of time, connecting the interaction of 'Deep Time' (Earth history) with the present 'Great Acceleration' and the 'Long Now', defining the future of the Earth system. This is exemplified along the work of the International Anthropocene Working Group (established by the International Commission on Stratigraphy)

This Science Graphic Novel is particularly dedicated to the late Paul Crutzen (Nobel Laureate for his work on the Ozone hole and 'Father of the Anthropocene') and the late Will Steffen (with major contributions to Planetary Boundaries, Great Acceleration, etc). Both were active members of the Anthropocene Working Group until their deaths.
