Die sozialistische Einheitlichkeit und Sektorisierung sowie der Fokus auf das
Arbeitsleben bargen Chancen und Grenzen für eine suffiziente psychiatrische
Versorgung in der Hauptstadt der ehemaligen DDR. Hervorhebens wert sind die
Versorgungskonzepte zur psychiatrischen Rehabilitation und die intensive
Bemühung zur Integration psychisch kranker Kinder und Jugendlicher.

dc.description.abstract
The soviet-oriented healthcare system and social conditions of the GDR regime
depicted in outpatient mental health care. The socialists focus on working
life, unity and sectorization held opportunities and limits for a sufficient
mental care system. Individual professional commitment built up a
comprehensive outpatient mental health care in some areas of the capital. It
is worth to highlight concepts to supply psychiatric rehabilitation in East
Berlin and the intense effort to integrate mentally ill children.
