Kryokonservierte arterielle Allografts von hirntoten Organspendern werden vor allem zur Gefäßrekonstruktion in der Tumorchirurgie, in der Ausschaltung von Aneurysmen, als Therapieoption bei infizierten alloplastischen Gefäßprothesen, zur Ausschaltung aorto- enterischer Fisteln und bei traumatischen Gefäßverletzungen verwendet. Diese Arbeit untersuchte und verglich systematisch die histopathologische Morphologie arterieller allogener Gefäßersätze vor und nach Kryokonservierung und in 6 Fällen nach Explantation des Gefäßtransplantates.
Cryopreserved arterial allografts from brain-dead organ donors are used for reconstructive tumor surgery, in the field of infected synthetic grafts, in the management of aneurysm, aorto-enteric fistulas and vascular complications after accidents. This study systematically examined and compared the histopathology of arterial allografts before cryopreservation (T0), after thawing before implantation (T1) and in 6 cases after removal for graft failure.
