Their practical application, in particular to ever more complex molecular systems, is, however, not entirely trivial. Focusing on replica exchange transition interface sampling (RETIS) and forward flux sampling (FFS), we discuss a range of analysis tools that can be used to assess the quality and convergence of such simulations, which is crucial to obtain reliable results. The basic ideas of a step-wise evaluation are exemplified for the study of nucleation in several systems with different complexities, providing a general guide for the critical assessment of RETIS and FFS simulations.","23 Seiten","92422","https://refubium.fu-berlin.de/handle/fub188/38505||http://dx.doi.org/10.17169/refubium-38223","eng","http://www.fu-berlin.de/sites/refubium/rechtliches/Nutzungsbedingungen","500 Naturwissenschaften und Mathematik::530 Physik::539 Moderne Physik","Molecular dynamics||Complex chemical systems||Free energy landscapes","Practical guide to replica exchange transition interface sampling and forward flux sampling","Wissenschaftlicher Artikel","open access","200901","10.1063/5.0080053","The Journal of Chemical Physics","20","American Institute of Physics","Woodbury, NY","https://aip.scitation.org/doi/10.1063/5.0080053","156 (2022)","0021-9606","Physik","Institut für Theoretische Physik:::9b3f150d-3d53-491f-8fad-e2dc9be7d978:::600","Artikel in Allianz- und Nationallizenzen","no"
