The Istanbul Convention’s treaty monitoring body, the Group of experts on action against violence against women and domestic violence (GREVIO), is the only human rights treaty monitoring and adjudication body with a direct competence (one that stems directly from the treaty) concerning reservations. The main aims of the article are threefold: to present GREVIO's practice to date concerning reservations, to provide a brief historical overview of how other human rights treaty bodies have approached their role concerning reservations, and finally, to attempt to explain why GREVIO has abandoned a more proactive position on reservations.","21 Seiten","https://refubium.fu-berlin.de/handle/fub188/37901||http://dx.doi.org/10.17169/refubium-37617","urn:nbn:de:kobv:188-refubium-37901-1","eng","http://www.fu-berlin.de/sites/refubium/rechtliches/Nutzungsbedingungen","300 Sozialwissenschaften::340 Recht::340 Recht","Istanbul Convention||GREVIO","Time to Wake Up: Reservations to the Istanbul Convention and the Role of GREVIO","Buch","free","open access","10.2139/ssrn.4064709","https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4064709","2509-3770","2509-3762","Rechtswissenschaft","yes","56","KFG Working Paper Series"
