We observe an indication of ultrafast proton motion occurring within the 1.5 fs lifetime of the double-core-hole (DCH) states in water. Furthermore, we have identified symmetric and antisymmetric dissociation modes characteristic for particular DCH states. Our results serve as a fundamental reference for state-of-the-art studies of DCH dynamic processes in liquid water both at synchrotron and free-electron-laser facilities.","8 S.","https://refubium.fu-berlin.de/handle/fub188/24304||http://dx.doi.org/10.17169/refubium-2076","eng","500 Natural sciences and mathematics::530 Physics::539 Modern physics","Autoionization & Auger processes||Molecules||Hard x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy||Semiclassical methods","Ultrafast nuclear dynamics in the doubly-core-ionized water molecule observed via Auger spectroscopy","Wissenschaftlicher Artikel","open access","063403","10.1103/PhysRevA.98.063403","Physical Review A","6","https://journals.aps.org/pra/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevA.98.063403","98","2469-9934 (Online)||2469-9926 (Print)","Copyright des Verlags","https://journals.aps.org/copyrightFAQ.html#post","Physik","Institut für Experimentalphysik:::0e15dd66-95f1-40d5-8307-e68203f86a76:::600","no"
