Tris(cyclopentadienyl)lanthanides Cp3Ln (Ln = Ce, Nd, Sm, Er, Yb) were applied as effective precatalysts with lithium aluminiumhydride as hydride source and TONs up to 155 could be observed. This represents the first reported rare earth metal catalyzed C-F bond activation. The rare earth metal complexes with larger ionic radii (Ce-Sm) show higher reactivity; for the HDF of hexafluoropropene good results could be obtained with Cp3Yb as well (100 % conversion). O and N donor solvents act as organocatalysts in transition-metal-free HDF reactions with aluminum and gallium hydrides. This offers a simple and cheap alternative for the C-F bond activation. TONs of up to 87 have been observed. Several olefinic and aromatic fluoroorganic compounds were applied as substrates. The selectivity of the HDF with diisobutylaluminum hydride is substrate and concentration dependent. High donor concentrations result in a loss of selectivity. However, the exact nature of the donor has only a minimal influence. The selectivity of the HDF with diisobutylgallium hydride is substrate dependent, but in the case of 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene it can be influenced by the choice of donor. This was investigated by combined experimental and theoretical studies. Furthermore, 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf) was synthesized from hexafluoropropene in high yields (85-95 %) under mild conditions, in just one step and without a catalyst. HFO-1234yf is applied as replacement for 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (R-134a) in automobile air conditioning systems as cooling agent due to its low global warming potential. This method offers an easy alternative to the known industrial processes, which require multistep synthesis and costly catalysts. NHC-stabilized alane Me2Im∙AlH3 (NHC = N-heterocyclic carbene, Me2Im = 1,3-bismethyl-4,5-dihydrogen-imidazolin-2-ylidene) hydrodefluorinates hexafluoropropene even in the absence of donor solvents and 100 % conversion could be obtained.","71 Seiten","https://refubium.fu-berlin.de/handle/fub188/23506||http://dx.doi.org/10.17169/refubium-1292","urn:nbn:de:kobv:188-refubium-23506-7","ger","http://www.fu-berlin.de/sites/refubium/rechtliches/Nutzungsbedingungen","500 Naturwissenschaften und Mathematik::540 Chemie::546 Anorganische Chemie","C-F bond activation||rare earth metals||aluminum hydrides||gallium hydrides","Organo- und seltenerdmetallkatalysierte C-F-Bindungsaktivierung mit Hilfe von Aluminium- und Galliumhydriden","Organo- and Rare Earth Metal Catalyzed C-F Bond Activation with Aluminum and Gallium Hydrides","Dissertation","free","open access","accept","Text","Biologie, Chemie, Pharmazie"
